How To Increase Your Website Traffic

I’ve been carving out a living doing Affiliate Marketing from home since 2004. But I will be the first to tell you that making money via the Internet is not for the faint at heart. Oh you will come across numerous products promising you riches beyond your dreams. Some of those products are supposed to get your site on the front page of the Search Engines and will start making you money in no time. But when you get the product you end up with some rehashed idea which never worked in the first place. This is why I make sure to only buy from either a Clickbank vendor or one who uses Paypal as their merchant, and if they do not offer a 100% no questions asked money back guarantee, they will not get my money.
So no matter how you go about it, the truth is that if your site is not ranking on the Search Engine’s front page, you are not going to get traffic to your site.
No traffic = No Sales
That is a simple equation. You got to get traffic to get sales, but in order to get traffic you must find a way to get your site on the front page of the Search Engines. But, first…
Keyword research is really the first step in getting traffic to your website. Why? Because you have to target these keywords if you are to have any hope of actually generating traffic for them. Which means you need to put some thought into the keywords you’re targeting.
A couple things to keep in mind when doing keyword research:
- Are the keywords you’re interested in attainable? This involves doing some competitive analysis to determine the ease of entry for each keyword
- What kinds of visitors do these keywords bring? If you don’t do your research you’ll end up with a lot of traffic that doesn’t buy from you. What you want is buyers!
- What about affiliates? Nothing brings more buyers like an army of affiliates. So, it’s important to also target affiliates in the keywords you go after.
